Most people say they think so, but no one seems to be 100% sure. I want to know. And, if they are the same, can we call Groundhog Day Woodchuck Day instead and be politically correct?
Woodchucks and groundhogs are the same animal. It just depends on what part of the country you live in. People in different parts of the country call them different things.
