Does adding an additional cardmember onto my AMEX account help build their credit?

If you add a spouse or child to your credit card account as an authorized user, it will show up and be counted in their credit score. But it won't work for non-related people. Fair Issac has changed the scoring method to prevent people selling piggyback privileges to strangers.




It does help. The Fair Isaac Company changed the methodology again and does include credit history of people who are authorized users on credit cards.
